it's gonna be a fluffy white christmas

Ever since this super lady wrote about the TRUNKSHOW concept in her guest Design*Sponge column I've been smitten with the idea of perusing lovely sustainable goods with some girlfriends.  I mean, does it get any better than fondling organic cotton wares while enjoying a glass of wine?  I think not.  So i was thrilled when Paige asked me to design the sweets table and florals for her client's upcoming holiday TRUNKSHOW.

We stayed within a palette of soft muted greens and snowy snowy whites, mixing fluffy textures with crisp greenery.  The result was by far my favorite sweets table projects to date.  We had cuppies, russian tea cakes, gingerbread men, and a magnificent meringue topiary.  Isn't it just the loveliest, fluffiest, sweetest thing you've ever seen?  I don't generally share my concept illustrations here, but I couldn't resist with this one...

And if you haven't already, visit the Bash blog to check out more of our photos from the event.  Those TRUNKSHOW girls curated such a stunning collection of goods - it's a miracle i made it out of there without buying anything myself (i'm holding out until next week's TRUNKSHOW anyhow!)

Can't wait to do it again girls! xo

Beautiful! I aspire to such a well-finished aesthetic, with everything neat and perfected. In the mean time, i get by with a rustic spread.

It's gorgeous. Could you share what is between the big meringues on the topiary? Are they just tiny meringues, or piped frosting?
Thanks!

This is beautiful. Who would have thought of incorporating organic cotton into a dessert table? Just lovely.
