HELLS YEAH!

Our double header week was double awesomeness.  HITCHED went off without, well, a hitch.  it was one helluva a good time hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones.  we drank, we ate, we said CHEESE, we rocked out the dance party.  if you missed it, don't fret, we're already getting set to announce the next one very VERY soon.  keep an eye out.  for now, check out a few of the early bird write ups floating around the blogosphere.

two days after HITCHED, we killed it at Emily and David's wedding.  Killed it.  Absolutely can't wait to share all of the awesomeness, but for now check out the sweet sweet couple (as captured by rockstar Noa of feather love Photography). 

one helluva week

You already know we've got HITCHED on thursday, but did you know we're also working on one helluva a wedding on Saturday?  it's true, and we are so excited to see this sweet vintage, home spun, rock and roll wedding come to life.  check out the inspiration board.  don't you want to live in it?  not only is the aesthetic right up our alley, but the bride and groom are two of our favorite actors.  we'll spill the beans later, but take our word for it - these two are awesome.  it's gonna be one helluva week - see you on the other side...

it's a double wedding weekend!

We've got two weddings this weekend!  Today's wedding is at the stunning Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu (there are zebras there!)  Then Saturday, we shift gears from rural to urban for a wedding at the crazy chic and stylish Siren Studios.  can't wait to share them both with you!  in the meantime...a sneak at our inspiration board for today's wedding with Lacy & Gordon...happy weekend!

It's here it's here!  The September issue of C Magazine has hit newstands and I'm thrilled to say succulentLOVE is featured!  I'm in love with everything C Mag puts out each month, so it's a huge honor to be part of the issue. HITCHED - sneek peek

HITCHED is right around the corner kiddies and Paige, Audrey and I have cooked up a purty little inspiration board to get you all excited.  Our participants have all been snagged (minus a few last minute surprises of course!) and the stable is jumping with some serious talent.  if you havent already go get your tickets cause they are going fast - and we wouldnt want you to miss out on this bushwackin' good time.

i was beyond thrilled when Emily contacted me to do the florals for her clients' wedding.  then i did cartwheels when she told me they wanted to use ALL succulents.  um, hello, amazingness.  The wedding was just this past weekend at seven degrees in laguna beach and I can't wait to show you all of the beautiful pictures.  for now, here's a bit of a sneak peek of the bride's bouquet and wedding cake overflowing with some succulentLOVE.

just for the heck of it

i'm up to my eye balls in a sea of succulents for an all succulent wedding this weekend.  yes, you heard it right, ALL succulents.  i can't wait to see it all come together.  anyways, since i'm living in a sea of greens this week i figured i'd bring some color to the blog with these lovelies i arranged special for my mom's visit a couple weeks ago.  these flowers are long gone, and unfortunately she's back home too but, what the heck,  it's nice to reminiscnce.

On design*sponge: Nautical Crab Boil

For our second spin around the globe for design*sponge, Paige and I landed squarely in the ocean. great. we took another spin, and again landed our selves in the sea. obviously the universe was trying to tell us something. So we put on our captain's hats and set forth to create a sweet nautical inspired crab boil birthday party! Miss Bonnie Tsang captured all the fun.  Check out all the red, white and blue here. get excited, there's another Once Wed photoshoot on its way.  Andy Warhol + Edie Sedgwick.  we know, not a couple couple, but you can't deny they loved each other.  and you definitely can't argue that their style wasn't utterly inspiring.  Me and Paige are working with the peach of a lady Feather Love and shooting at the new event space at Siren Studios in Hollywood.  and yes, there will be bananas.

we've got a new addition to the shop!  the talented Jen Kuroki has created yet another brilliant piece for us at succulentLOVE called the tear.drop.  lovely isn't it?  each is handmade ceramic with a bright white gloss.  we just love how our succulents look nestled in each one.  go ahead, order one for yourself!

I've been an avid reader of ReadyMade forever and just LOVE perusing all of the amazing DIY projects in each issue.  Imagine my excitement when RM's editor (the lovely Amy P) contacted me about succulentLOVE contributing an outdoor entertaining idea for their June/July issue.  My mister and i came up with a fun idea for repurposing reclaimed bricks as planters.
